Entry regulations “Craft in Focus” festival 2013

The festival is open to film and video productions in any high-quality format, with a preference for DCP.

 

To apply, please send a DVD screener (PAL, region free) and a completed and signed entry form to Craft in Focus. The DVD will stay in the possession of the festival for internal/educational use only.


Apart from the DVD, please send the following items by e-mail to info@windymiller.nl:

• A synopsis (maximum 120 words)
• A short biography / filmography of the filmmaker.
• Three photos / stills of the production to be included in the festival catalogue and on the website, and for promotional purposes (300 dpi.).


The entry must be in Dutch or English or have Dutch or English subtitles.

 

There is no submission fee.


Filmmakers of productions selected for screening will be notified before April 20, 2013. The complete program will be published on the Windy Miller website by the end of April, 2013.

 

In case of selection, the copyright holder automatically authorizes Craft in Focus to screen the film during the Festival free of charge, and to use publicity material about the author(s) and/or the film, as well as trailers (not exceeding 4 min.) or a 4 minute clip of the production for promotional purposes through public media like television and Internet. The clip/trailer may also be included in the Craft in Focus website.


Submission deadline: April 1, 2013.

 

All the material, including the DVD screener, must have arrived at the festival office by April 1, 2013.

DELIVERY AND RETURN OF FILMS
1. Filmmakers or their agents submitting films must cover all costs related to the delivery of preview and screening copies to the Crafts in Focus office, as well as all costs of return shipment.
2. To satisfy the Dutch customs, all postage packages form outside the EU must be marked as follows: "No commercial value, for cultural purpose only” and add “No value.”
3. The Craft in Focus Festival will not be responsible for any customs charges, freight or demurrage charges or any other charges.
4. The Craft in Focus Festival will take every reasonable care to protect films submitted. However, the Craft in Focus Festival will not be responsible for any loss or damage to films. Entrants are advised to insure their films against loss or damage.

The submission of a film/video to the Crafts in Focus International Film Festival gives the organizers of the Festival the right to select and screen the film in the Festival program, and implies full acceptance of the regulations.
